Am 27. Juli 2020 haben ‚Meantime‘ ihr Debüt-Album mit insgesamt zwölf Tracks auf den Markt gebracht. Die Singles ‚Tightrope‘ und ‚Take Flight‘ sind die ersten zwei Singleauskopplungen aus der Platte. ‚Meantime‘ ist die musikalische Umsetzung des slowakischen und südafrikanischen Musikers Stefan Klein (Gitarre / Programmierung) sowie des britischen Künstlers Adam Stanley (Gesang / Lyrik).
Beide verbanden ihre Liebe zur Gitarrenmusik der 90er und 2000er Jahre und kombinierten dies mit Einflüssen aus weit entfernten Ecken der Welt. Stanley, der eigentlich Schlagzeuger von Beruf ist, fand zusammen mit Klein eine Art Leinwand um sich auszudrücken. Bereits bevor der erste Song fertig war, bemerkten die Zwei, dass die Zusammenarbeit mehr werden würde, als nur eine Online-Kooperation.
Die Lieder beleuchten einzigartige Weltanschauungen, innere Konflikte und Entschlüsse, sind dabei manchmal sarkastisch, aber auch gefühlvoll und aufschlussreich.
„Absent, In Recovery“ ist das Ergebnis nach zwei Jahre langem unermüdlichem Songwriting.
Das Debüt ist auf Bandcamp und auf allen üblichen Streaming- Plattformen erhältlich.

On 27 July 2020 ‚Meantime‘ released their debut album with a total of twelve tracks. The singles ‚Tightrope‘ and ‚Take Flight‘ are the first two single releases from their album. Meantime‘ is the musical realisation of the Slovakian and South African musician Stefan Klein (guitar / programming) and the British artist Adam Stanley (vocals / lyrics).
Both combined their love for guitar music of the 90s and 2000s and combined this with influences from far away corners of the world. Stanley, who is actually a drummer by profession, found together with Klein a kind of canvas to express himself. Even before the first song was finished, the two realized that the collaboration would be more than just an online collaboration.
The songs shed light on unique world views, inner conflicts and decisions, sometimes sarcastically, but also emotionally and insightfully.
„Absent, In Recovery“ is the result after two years of tireless songwriting.
