SEVI sind eine der bekanntesten Bands aus Bulgarien und werden dort häufig von den nationalen Radiosendern gespielt. Auch Fernsehsender sind auf die talentierte Gruppe um Frontfrau Sevi aufmerksam geworden. Namhafte Festivals in Bulgarien haben SEVI in ihrem Line up und auch in Europa spielt das Quartett viele Live Shows. Genesis ist das vierte Album der Band (Svetlana Bliznakova Sevi – vocals, Rally Velinov – bass, Stone Angel – guitar, Peter Petrov – drums). Bei dem Namen GENESIS denke ich sofort an etwas Großes, Schöpferisches, Pfänomenales. Beim ersten Reinhören war ich sehr von der Platte geflasht und sie hält was sie verspricht. Hier werden alle Fascetten geboten, von ruhigen, nachdenklichen Melodien, wie bei der aktuellen Ballade World That Doesn’t Fit, bis hin zu härteren Rockkrachern namens Unreality. Svetlana hat eine sehr weite Vocalrange. Der Gesang erinnert in manchen Parts an Amy Lee von Evanescene, wobei die Stimme von Sventlana etwas mehr in die Metal-Ebene geht. SEVI are one of the best-known bands from Bulgaria and are frequently played on national radio stations over there. TV stations have also become aware of the talented group around front woman Sevi. Well-known festivals in Bulgaria have SEVI in their line-up and the quartet also plays many live shows in Europe. GENESIS is the band’s fourth album (Svetlana Bliznakova Sevi – vocals, Rally Velinov – bass, Stone Angel – guitar, Peter Petrov – drums). When I hear the name Genesis, I immediately think of something great, creative and phenomenal. The first time I listened to it, I was really blown away by the record and it lives up to its promise. All facets are offered here, from calm, thoughtful melodies, such as the current ballad World That Doesn’t Fit, to harder rock bangers like Unreality. Svetlana has a very wide vocal range. In some parts, the vocals are reminiscent of Amy Lee from Evanescene, although Sventlana’s voice is a little closer to the metal side.
